Growing up in Seattle, most of my friends worked in tech. I saw from a young age the positive impact a competent coder could have, if they understand the user.
Naturally, at college I went to work learning as much as I could. I studied computer science and business. I wanted to help business owners solve their most pressing operations and marketing problems.
